2026 Smart City Summit
SYSCOM Unveils Its Enterprise "AI Agent" Strategy, Leading a New Era of Corporate Operations

[2026/3/17] AI is rapidly evolving from a supporting tool into a core operational force for enterprises. At the 2026 Smart City Summit, SYSCOM Computer Engineering unveiled its "AI Task Force" theme at the SYSCOM Pavilion, integrating Physical AI service robots with AI Agent "intelligent digital employees" for the first time. The result is an innovative AI architecture that pairs front-end interaction with back-end decision-making for real-time collaboration — transforming AI from a mere tool into an intelligent partner that can be deployed on site, take part in workflows, and truly operate in the real world. Vice President Hsiao Bi-khim also visited the SYSCOM Pavilion in person, taking a close interest in the practical application of AI technology across industries.

The Enterprise AI agent Era Arrives: AI agent Reshape Corporate Operations

The press conference was guided by Chen Hui-min, Deputy Director-General of the Administration for Digital Industries, Ministry of Digital Affairs, and featured Jon Wang, Chairman of HPE, a leader in enterprise Cloud AI, and Chen Yi-ping, Senior Vice President of Inventec, a partner in AI computing platforms. Their joint appearance symbolized the deep integration of AI infrastructure with enterprise operational applications, highlighting a key strategy for enterprise AI adoption.

SYSCOM President James Liu said, the role of AI has been fundamentally rewritten: "Generative AI is no longer just an assistant — it is truly becoming a company's 'new type of employee.' What we are seeing is an AI workforce that can be trained, managed, and that collaborates with people. Within the next five years, a company with 80 employees may well have more than 30 AI agents working alongside 40 to 50 human staff, reshaping how enterprises operate." He emphasized that adopting "AI agents" will be an essential choice for any enterprise that wants to remain competitive in the AI era.

SYSCOM noted that modern AI has developed into a complete system capable of "autonomously completing a task once it is assigned." By harnessing high-performance GPU computing power, combining the "brain" of large language models with RAG-based memory, MCP/Function Calling as its "control nerves," and an Agent's planning and execution capabilities — and finally pairing all of this with an approachable virtual avatar — enterprise AI has evolved from simple Q&A tools into a dispatchable, traceable and governable "AI agent," significantly improving the reliability of enterprise-grade AI applications. On the management side, SYSCOM has introduced an "AI agent Management Framework" to help enterprises quantify AI agents' productivity, efficiency gains, and cost of deployment, turning AI from a mere tool into an organizational member that can be measured and managed.

SYSCOM emphasized that its "Enterprise AI agent Strategy" is more than a technology rollout — it represents a comprehensive upgrade of the enterprise operating model. In developing its robotics strategy, SYSCOM has partnered with global computing giant HPE and Inventec, a domestic leader in AI computing investment, to successfully integrate a complete ecosystem comprising a physical robot (SYSCOM's Ayuda robot), an AI agent (Syscom Cubi), agents responsible for monitoring surveillance footage and system logs, and a back-end control system. This integrated capability is a distinct strength of Taiwan's industry, and forms the foundation on which SYSCOM competes on the world stage against other nations.

Seven Themed Zones at the SYSCOM Pavilion Showcase Cross-Domain AI Applications

This year's SYSCOM Pavilion is themed "AI Task Force: Dual-Machine Collaboration," bringing together the company's most comprehensive AI technologies and cross-domain collaboration results. The pavilion spans seven zones — AI agents, Core Technology, Smart Healthcare, AI Retail, Digital Finance, International Collaboration, and AI Infrastructure — inviting visitors to explore SYSCOM's full range of AI technology and cross-industry applications through live demonstrations and conversations with its pressional team.

Virtual Human Meets Robot: A New AI Scenario

Another major highlight is at the Tainan City Government Pavilion's "AI Robotics Zone" on the 4th floor of Nangang Exhibition Center Hall 2, where SYSCOM is publicly unveiling, for the first time, the dual-machine collaboration between its virtual human Syscom Cubi and its intelligent service robot Ayuda. Syscom Cubi serves as the "intelligent brain," responsible for understanding requirements and decision-making, while Ayuda acts as the "physical hands," executing tasks in real time. Through the collaboration between the virtual human and the robot, SYSCOM demonstrates how AI is moving from cloud-based intelligence into real-world application scenarios — making smart services something people can truly see and touch.

"AI Task Force: Building the Enterprise AI agent Strategy" Forum

As AI Agents increasingly enter enterprise operations — from process automation to cross-system collaboration — they are demonstrating enormous application potential. Yet the key to successful AI adoption lies not only in the technology itself, but in infrastructure planning, data governance, access control, and ongoing management mechanisms. This forum explores, from AI infrastructure and the application layer through to governance, how enterprises can safely deploy AI and realize tangible value.

2026 Smart City Summit: SYSCOM's AI Task Force Leads the Enterprise AI agent Strategy

SYSCOM stated that as its "Enterprise AI agent Strategy" is rolled out in full, AI will not only become deeply embedded in enterprise operations but will also serve as a key driver of industry upgrading. Looking ahead, SYSCOM will continue to work with industry partners to advance the safe deployment and value realization of AI within enterprises, helping Taiwanese businesses secure next-generation competitiveness in the global AI race.
